BSNL JTO Eligibility Criteria
Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for the post of JTO or Junior Telecom Officer in BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited? Also tell me about paper pattern of JTO or Junior Telecom Officer in BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited?

In BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited JTO or Junior Telecom Officers are selected for selected from three disciplines of telecom, civil and electrical engineering. Selection of candidates for this post is done through a common entrance examination. One who has completed graduation in engineering and technology in the following disciplines are eligible to apply for this exam. One need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks and total qualifying marks in order to pass BSNL JTO. Eligibility required for BSNL JTO Exam:- JTO Telecom:- Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university: i. Telecommunication ii. Electronics iii. Radio iv. Computer v. Electrical vi. Information Technology vii. Instrumentation JTO (Electrical) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized engineering college/university Age Qualification for BSNL - JTO Entrance Exam Applicants of the JTOs (Telecom) exam must not be less than 21 years when they submit the admission form. The upper age limit is 30 years. But this is relaxable in some cases. They are: • Government servants – up to 5 years • BSNL employees – up to 5 years • Applicants of the SC and ST tribes – up to 5 years • Applicants of the OBC category – up to 3 years • Applicants of the PH General Category – up to 10 years [SC/ST: 15 years and OBC: 13 years • Residents of J&K Paper Pattern for BSNL JTO Exam:- The examination is of 3 hours duration with one question paper containing the following three sections: For JTOs(Telecom) Section-I : Engineering Stream : 50 questions Section-II : Engineering Stream : 50 questions Section-III : General Ability test : 20 questions For JTOs(Electrical) Section-I : Electrical Engineering Stream:50 questions Section-II : Electrical Engineering Stream: 50 questions Section-III : General Awareness: 20 questions The question paper is fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of papers in Engineering subjects will be that of engineering exam of an Indian university. |
