S.S. & L. S. Patkar College of Arts and Science is affiliated to Mumbai university

B.Sc. (Aviation) a three year integrated degree course in Science, leading to B.Sc. (Aviation) degree awarded by the University of Mumbai.

Intake 60 students – 30 for freshers (Ab-initio) and 30 for Valid CPL (Commercial Pilot License)
holders.

Eligibility :
For fresh Students (Ab-initio)
a) A candidate must have passed H.S.C. (Std. XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra
State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or an examination recognized as
equivalent there to with English, Physics & Mathematics Subjects.
b) Class II Medical Certificate from any DGCA approved Medical Doctor.

For CPL Holders :
Valid CPL with class I medical certificate from DGCA medical centers

Course Content :

First Year
1. Air Regulations
2. Navigation (General)
3. Meteorology (General)
4. Aircraft & Engines (General)
5. Flying Experience / Flying Check (Practicals)

Second Year
1. Air Regulations
2. Navigation (General)
3. Meteorology (General)
4. Aircraft & Engines (General)
5. Flying Experience / Flying Check (Practicals)

Third Year
1. Air Regulations
2. Navigation (General)
3. Meteorology (General)
4. Aircraft & Engines (General)
5. Flying Experience / Flying Check (Practicals)

Projects :
1) Crew Resources Management & Flight Safety
2) Aviation Medicine
3) Aviation Security & Human Factor
4) Air Traffic Control & Management
5) Aviation & First Aid

There shall be an examination at the end of each year of the course. The final examination at the end of the Third year for
the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Aviation) shall be conducted by the University.

The passing percentage at he examination conducted by the DGCA will be 70% .
