Re: HND in Aviation
As you have asked about the HND in Aviation (Aeronautical Engineering) course details, check below for the details This 2 year programme is planned for learners who want to study Aeronautical engineering to a professional standard. The HNDAE is considered an essential part of the Foundation Degree Framework, and is roughly equal to the first 2 years of a three year degree level study. After successfully finishing the HND Aeronautical Engineering programme, graduates may choose to progress to a top-up Bachelor of Engineering programme at any University. This programme is a BTEC Level-5 Edexcel configured curriculum that follows the UK’s vocational standard of education. It evaluates students mostly on assignments and practical lab tasks. The programme provides knowledge of aerospace systems, structural design, manufacture and maintenance. It blends various disciplines such as mathematics, science, aeronautical technology, comprising aerodynamics, flight control, avionics and propulsion. It is a highly skill-based programme with a view to making the students skills transferable to a range of employment options within the aeronautical industry. Graduates of the HND Aeronautical Engineering have many career choices to choose from: They may work in the aviation industry as a maintenance technician and after five years of relevant experience they will become fully licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. They can work in the workshops or any other engineering unit. Alternatively, they may choose to do one more Top-Up year at EAU and obtain a B.Eng. in Aerospace Technology or any other University such as those in the UK, USA or Australia. After the Bachelor degree, students may pursue further studies like masters and Ph.D at EAU or elsewhere. |
