Botanical Garden Yogi Vemana University established in the year 2006, by an Act of A.P state legislature

Botanical Garden

Botanic garden is living repository of indigenous exotic, cultivated
and wild plants.

The Yogi Vemana University Botanic Garden is basically intended to educate the
students, researchers and common man about plant biodiversity and its importance in
human well-being.


It is a place where a wide variety of plants are cultivated for scientific, educational, and ornamental purposes.

It also includes a library, a herbarium, and green houses.

At present, the Botanic garden enriched with more than 500 living species and more than 2000 individual plants.

The total botanical garden is spreading about 19 acres in the YVU Campus
