About the garden:
The GNDU Botanical Garden, Amritsar is an integral part of the Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences. It was established in the year 1975 and is spread over an area of 25 acres. The nature of soil is porous and saline. It has a collection of nearly 500 plant species including cacti, ferns, rare, threatened, endangered as well as medicinal plant species.
