University of Mumbai was founded in 18 July 1857, it is one of the first three state universities in India and the university offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees apart from diplomas and certificates in many disciplines.

Here I am providing you syllabus of B.tech Third Year of Biomedical Engineering of Mumbai University….

Third year V Sem syllabus:

BMC501 Biomedical Instrumentation-I

BMC502 Microprocessors

BMC503 Analog and Digital Circuits Design

BMC504 Biomedical Digital Signal Processing

BMC505 Principles of Communication Engineering

BML506 Business Communication and Ethics

Basic principle, technical specification, working and applications of Laboratory
1. Spectrophotometer
2. Colorimeter
3. Electrolyte Analyser
4. Blood cell counter
5. Auto-analyser
6. Blood gas analyser

Basic principle, technical specification, working and applications of Laboratory
Electrophoresis and types
ELISA concepts ( direct and indirect), reader & washer
Microscopes and its types: optical compound, electron microscope, fluorescence

Blood Flow Measurement:
Electromagnetic, Ultrasonic, NMR and Laser Doppler flowmetry, cardiac output
measurement, impedance plethysmography.

Pulmonary Function Analyser and Ventilator:
Respiration measurement technique: Lung volume and capacities. Spirometry,
Pulmonary function measurement and analyser, Oximetry, Ventilators and
Anesthesia Equipment

Heart Lung machine and types of artificial oxygenator

Basic audiometer, Pure tone and Speech audiometer, evoked response Audiometry.
