I think both the Institute are best for M.Tech course so it is depend on you for which Institute you are eligible for M.Tech course. Here I am providing you the admission details of both Institutes. IISc M.Tech admission Applications for the M.Tech/ M.E courses at IISc Bangalore are available tentatively from February, 2015. Candidates can apply online to the M.Tech programmes of their preference if they qualify in GATE 2015. M.Tech/M.E Eligibility- Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent. Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE. Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des programme only) Master’s degree holders in Science disciplines including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences as applicable to individual department offering M Tech programmes Selection procedure- Admission is on the basis of GATE 2014/ 2015 OR a written test and a personal interview. Application Fees: Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST). Additional bank charges applicable. Application Fee Payment: 1. Online: Net banking, Visa Card/Master Card, Debit/Credit Cards 2. Offline: Through E-Challan payment (SBI/Canara Bank ) Tentative Important Dates: Online Application start: February, 2015 Last dates for Online Application : April, 2015 IIT M.Tech admission The four-semester M.Tech. Programmes offered in various Disciplines and Programmes by different departments of the institute. Each Programme comprises several core and elective courses and project work. M.Tech Eligibility- B.Tech./BE./M.Sc.(Engg.) degree in the respective or allied area. For admission into M.Tech. in Biological Sciences and Bio-engineering, applicants having bachelor’s degree in pharmacy/medicine with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum may also be considered. Candidates who have a valid GATE score are eligible to apply for M.Tech. GATE is not required for application to M.Tech on a part-time basis or for the PGDIIT programme.
