I want to know Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination schedule, please provide here???

Union Public Service Commission is conducting Civil Services Examination for recruitment to various services and posts.

Dates:
The exam is scheduled on August 24/2014.
The willing candidates can apply online by June 30/2014.

Qualification:

The candidates should possess a degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions.

Age limit:

The candidates should not aged less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as on August 1, 2014.

In case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years.

In case of OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 3 years.

Number of attempts:
The candidates can apply to a maximum of six times.
The candidates belonging to OBC category can apply for a total of nine times.
This restriction on the number of attempts will not apply in case of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates.

The entrance exam for the IAS is called the Civil Service Preliminary Exams. It is the first level exam for entrance for IAS. After clearing the Prelims one need to appear in the Mains written exams which is followed by the personality test (interview).

The Prelim exam is only of qualifying nature. The scores of the Mains written exam and personality test will be counted to decide the final results.

The number of candidates called for the interview is normally double the vacancy announced.

A degree from a recognized University or equivalent is required to write the Civil Services exams.

Candidates appearing at the final year of the degree exam are also eligible to write the Prelim exam subjected to certain conditions.

Candidates applying for Civil Services Exam or Indian Forest Service Exam or both will have to fill in this common Application Form.
