Re: Benefit of Doing Company Secretary Course

Company Secretary is a compliance related course where you have to study various Laws and Acts and ensure compliance under those Acts. So if you want to add an additional qualification with CS you should do a course which helps you to grow as a compliance manager and legal person.

The need for a Company to have a Company Secretary can be linked to the increased compliances in new Companies Act, 2013.

Job Prospect:

As a qualified company secretary, you can find good positions in the private sector and public sectors, banks and financial institutions.

Company secretaries have the added advantage of setting up their own consultancy business after obtaining a certificate of practice

You can also look for openings in stock exchanges, the Department of Company Affairs, company law boards and various government departments.

The larger the company and the wider its field activity, the better are the emoluments earned by the company secretary.
