The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) offers Company Secretary Course. There are 3 qualifying stages for becoming a company secretary, namely, the foundation stage, the intermediate stage and the final stage. Training: You will have to undergo short term training programs during the intermediate level and after the final level examination of the company secretary course. After completing this course you can find good positions in the private sector and public sectors, banks and financial institutions. You can also go for openings in stock exchanges, the Department of Company Affairs, company law boards and various government departments. Salary Company secretary salary largely depends on the abilities of the person himself and the company he/she is working with. A newly appointed company secretary can get nearly Rs. 4,00,000 to Rs. 5,00,000 per years.
