The IAS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Yes definitely you are eligible for IAS exam. Eligibility Criteria: Aspirants must have any graduate degree from any recognized University. Candidate’s who are in the final year are also eligible. Applicants age should be between 21 and 30 years. IAS Exams are conducted in three following phases. Phase I:Civil Services Aptitude Test Phase II:Civil Services Mains Phase III: Personality test (Interview) Preliminary Examination : It is Objective type examination divided into two parts : Paper I Paper II 120 mins 120 mins 200 marks 200 marks Paper I syllabus General Science Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian national Movement India and World Geography General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate chage Indian Polity and Governance Economic and Social Development Paper II Syllabus Comprehension Interpersonal Skills including Comprehension Skills Basic Numeracy, Data Interpretation. Logical reasoning & Analytical ability Decision making and Problem Solving English Language Comprehension Skills General Mental Ability The Main exam will consist of Essay, Modern Indian Language, English, General Studies-I, General Studies-II, General Studies-III, General Studies-IV |

You are eligible for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) Exam after B.Com Course. Here I am giving you detailed eligibility criteria for IAS Exam. Eligibility Criteria: 1. Educational Qualifications: Candidate should be at least a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates having professional and technical qualifications recognized by the government are also eligible. 2. Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India 3. Age Limits: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August of the year in which examination is being held. 4. Number of attempts: General category: 4 Physically handicapped belonging to general category: 7 Other backward classes: 7 SC/ST candidates: Unlimited IAS Exam Syllabus: Paper 1 (200 marks) - Duration: Two hrs. • Current events of national and international importance • History of India and Indian national movement • Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world • Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc. • Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc • General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization • General science Paper 2 (200 marks) - Duration: Two hrs. • Comprehension • Interpersonal skills including communication skills • Logical reasoning and analytical ability • Decision making and problem solving • General mental ability • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level) • English language comprehension skills (Class X level) |
