I have completed graduation and now I want to do B.Ed course through distance learning from University Of Calcutta so tell me the eligibility criteria for admission? Is entrance exam is conducted by this University for admission in B.Ed course?

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Humanities/Social Sci., Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to are eligible for admission

Age Limit
For Fresher Students (General Category) - 40 years (as on 30th June 2017)
For Deputed Students (General Category) - No age bar
Age limit is relaxable for maximum 5 (five) years for students belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories

Reservation of Seats :

Reservation of seats for B.Ed. admission (only for fresher category):
(i) Calcutta University - 80%
(ii) Other University (OU) - 20%
Reservation of Seats for SC/ST & PwD will be as follows:
(i) SC - 22%
(ii) Scheduled Tribe - 06%
(iii) PWD - 3% (From all categories)
