National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2018 qualified candidates are eligible for admissions to MBBS for the academic year 2018-19 in Amrita University. NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level entrance examination for MBBS & BDS aspirants. This examination is conducted for providing admissions in various government & private colleges of the country. Duration Four and a half years plus one year Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship No. of Seats 100 General Seats: 85 & NRI Seats: 15 General: Indian nationals, Foreign Nationals holding OCI/PIO cards are eligible for admissions under General category (refer NEET norms). NRI: Foreign Nationals holding OCI or PIO cards / NRI (refer NEET norms) NEET Important Dates 2018 Application released February 8, 2018 Last date to fill the application March 12, 2018 (5.30 PM) Last date to submit application fee March 13, 2018 (11.50 PM) NEET 2018 Correction March 15 to March 17, 2018 Admit Card release April 17, 2018 NEET 2018 May 6, 2018 Display of OMR Answer Sheet May last week, 2018 Official Answer Key Release June first week, 2018 Declaration of NEET Result June 5, 2018 First Round of Counselling (AIQ) June 12-24, 2018 Second Round of Counselling (AIQ) July 6-12, 2018 Mop Up Counselling Round (Only for Deemed/Central) August 12-22, 2018 NEET Eligibility Criteria 2018 Nationality Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals Qualifying Exam 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized Board; one from NIOS Board are ineligible - Gap year between Class 11 and 12 is not permitted. Minimum Age Requirement 17 years Maximum Age Limit 25 years Qualifying Marks UR - 50%, OBC/SC/ST - 40%, PWD - 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects) Maximum Attempts Previously applied cap on the number of attempts has been removed. Now, there is no limit on the permitted number of attempts age criteria permitting. |
