Anna University was founded in the year 1978 and it is a technical university in Tamil Nadu, India . Anna University has introduced chip-based (UMPSC) University Multi Purpose Smart Card System for use of staff and students of the University. The Smart Card System stores all the personal data of the staff and students in its integrated database. Category of Smart Cards— UMPSC Issued to--- All the students and permanent staff of all the constituent colleges.
