Credit system details for each course (subject/paper)
A theory course of 45 hours duration – 3 credits.

A theory course of 45 hours with additional 15 hours of laboratory classes or tutorial classes – 4 credits

A practical course of 30 hours of laboratory classes – 1 credit.

UG project work in the final semester of 180 hours – 6 credits

A practical course of 45 hours of laboratory classes – 2 credits


Masters’ degree project work is divided into two phases
Phase-I in III semester – 180 hours – 6 credits

Phase-II in IV semester 360 hours – 12 credits

A masters student should obtain about 67 credits to complete his course.

A five-year integrated course has about 219 credits to complete the course
