Admission procedure of Anna University is completed by TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admissions). The TANCA is conducted every year by Anna University, Chennai for candidates who want admission into M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan in Anna University affiliated colleges. But for admission you have to wait till July because admission procedure is started in July.

TANCA application forms can be collected by post or apply online.

TANCA applications fee of Rs.500 for General, Rs.250 for SC/ST/SCA candidates.

The TANCA has following four categories:
Category 1: GATE-1 Engineering and Technology
Category 2: GATE-2 Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL)
Category 3: Non-GATE

Issue of offline application and availability of online TANCA-2014 Registration:
From 14th July 2014 to 25th July 2014

Last date of issue of offline application and close of online registration:
24th July 2014 up to 05:30 pm

Last date of the receipt of filled in TANCA-2014 applications:

Anna University is a technical university in Tamil Nadu, India. The main university campus is located in Guindy, Chennai.

As you wants to do the ME course from Anna university let me tell you that for getting Admission into the ME course offered by the Anna university you may appear in the TANCET entrance test . the details of the T ANCET Examination is as follow :

TANCET is the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. Anna University is expected to conduct TANCET is held for MBA / MCA / ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan admissions.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be qualified with a B.E or B.Tech Degree with specialization in Civil, Environmental, Chemical and Geo-informatics Engineering OR Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
