Eligibility for joining NTPC

I am a mechanical engineer. Now I want to do job at NTPC so will you please tell me what is the eligibility for doing job at NTPC?

NTPC stands for the National Thermal Power Corporation. It is India's largest power company. It was founded in 1975 to accelerate power development in India.
It was ranked 424th in the ‘2014, Forbes Global 2000’ ranking of the World’s biggest companies.

It is the largest Public Sector Undertaking electric utilities company in India.
It hires around 500 to 600 Engineers every year.

There are jobs in National Thermal Power Corporation for 5 branches of Engineering:

Mechanical Engineers

Electrical engineers

Instrumentation Engineers

Civil Engineers

HR and Finance

Out of these five most of the jobs are for Mechanical Engineers.

Eligibility:

Indian Citizen
Age limit is 21 to 30 years with some relaxation for the reserve category candidates.
B.Tech degree in the branches I have mentioned above.
Secure at least 60 percent marks in the B.Tech course
A valid GATE score is also very important.
Most PSU do consider the GATE score of the candidates. Those who have performed better in the GATE exam could be called for direct interview and may not have to appear in written test.

there are the two ways for joining the NTPC that are as follow :

Through the GATE entrance exam score and interview conducted by own company
Through the entrance exam has been conducted by NTPC company


Eligibility for the NTPC :

Educational Qualification:
1. you should be passed the bachelor degree in engineering with at least 65% ,marks from any recognized university,
2,. age must be below the 32 years.
3. Indian citizen.
4. good technical knowledge .
