Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University was established in 1982 through an Act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature, subsequently, the University was renamed as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University in 1991 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Requirements

a) Bachelors Degree in any discipline with a minimum of one year experience in a regular or substantial post of the rank of a Record Assistant & above in recognized libraries
OR
b) Graduates with Diploma or Certificate in Library Science in Govt. Recognized Institutions
OR
c) Professional Graduates in Law/Engg./Pharmacy
OR
d) Graduate with 50% of aggregate marks (45% for SC / ST candidates).
