AFCAT Syllabus
General awareness :
Includes History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

Verbal ability in English:
This portion covers the topics like Comprehension, Error detection, Sentence completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of vocabulary

Numerical Ability :
Includes Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion and Simple Interest

Reasoning and Military Test:
Verbal skills and Spatial ability

Exam pattern:
Part A- Multiple Choice Questions: English and General Awareness (30 Questions) (Duration 20 Minutes)
Part B- Descriptive Test in English:
Three Questions – One Comprehension passage with 5 Questions,
One letter writing
One paragraph writing (Duration: 30 minutes).

The contents of the test include the following in
Part-A and Part-B respectively:-
Part A: English (Grammar and usage) and General Awareness – MCQs
Part B: General Composition in English
