All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS course in AIIMS New Delhi and the six AIIMS (Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh and Raipur)like Institutions in India Applications are invited for Registration through online mode only . Eligibility Criteria: Applicants who have passed / appearing for 12th class examination or its equivalent with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate are eligible . Application Procedure: A candidate can submit application through online mode by visiting the official website Read the Prospectus, Help Manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein. The application fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) Applicants can pay the application fee through a Credit/Debit Card or Challan Form (to be downloaded from internet while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India Transaction/Processing Fee as applicable will be payable to the Bank by the candidates As the last date to apply is over , so you can try next year . Important Dates: Online Registration of Application -17th Feb 2014 Last date of applying Online and Closing of Registration: 17th March 2014 (upto 05.00 p.m.) Date of Exam: 01st June 2014 (Sunday) Paper Pattern AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam that will be 3 and a half hours long, comprising of 200 questions is as follows: Biology (Botany & Zoology)60 Chemistry60 General Knowledge20 Physics60 Total 200 Each correct response will get a score of +1 mark Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (less one-third). All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, conducts Entrance Examination for admission to AIIMS MBBS course in New Delhi and the six AIIMS like institutions in India. The Entrance Exam is conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only. It is conducted in two shifts in different centers all over India. Admission Process for AIIMS For Indian Candidates: Getting admitted into AIIMS: One needs to fill up application form either online or offline and deposit a certain fee (Rs. 1000/) to make eligible for the Entrance Examination Then, admit a card is made available on the website. You need to download it. One needs to score above 50% in the entrance test (45% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST) you REMAIN eligible for admission into AIIMS. A merit list consisting of only the first 37 rankers from the general category, another 11 from SC, 19 from OBC and 5 from ST is announced with all others eligible being put on the waitlist in order of merit. Lastly, you need to complete, namely, send in attested copies of certificates/mark sheets within 7 days of results, undergo medical exam at a Medical board set up by AIIMS and report to the college with original documents. For Foreign Candidates: Foreign applicants nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the Intermediate Science or an equivalent exam to be eligible for admission to the MBBS course. One is not required to appear at the Competitive Entrance Examination. The foreign nationals are not required to fill up the application form prescribed by the Institute but need to apply to the Government of India through their Diplomatic Channels. The nominations for foreign category are made by the Government of India.
