AFCAT Fast Track Selection
I want to appear in the AFCAT exam and want to know the eligibility conditions required for the Indian Air Force Fast Track Selection? Also provide me the syllabus and the exam pattern of the Fast Track Selection so that I can do preparation of this exam?

Indian Air Force will conduct Fast Track Selection (FTS) at New Delhi & Greater Nodia for short listing of candidates for Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics ), Aeronautical Engineers (Mecanical) and Meteorological branches .Traninig will commence on January 2010. Documents Required for Fast Track Selection Two copies of pre-filled FTS Admit Card (on A4 size paper) as per format given in this advertisement. Original certificate and Marksheet of class Xth (as proof of date of birth) and of class XIIth. Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters/years) of Graduation. Proof of identity such as Passport, Driving Licence, Voter Identity Card, College Identity Card or any other valid photo identity proof. Three recent colour passport size photographs Eligibility Conditions Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics / Mechanical) : BE/ BTech with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together in selected disciplines and such other requisite qualifications specified for 76 AEC / 48 SSC (for Men & Women). Meteorological Branch : Minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all papers put together in MCA / Post Graduation in Science or Geography provided Mathematics and Physics were taken at graduation level (Criteria of having Mathematics and Physics at graduation level is applicable for both MCAs and Post Graduates ). Exam pattern The written test conducted at IAF FTS test venue is as follows: For Aeronautical Engineering (Electronic/Mechanical): Engineering Knowledge Test EKT. There are two papers, both having objective type (multiple choice) questions: Paper -I: General Engineering questions: 40 questions. Paper-II: Specific Engineering branch questions: 35 questions. The specialized papers (Paper-II) are in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering and Computer Engineering. Above 75 questions are to be answered in 60 minutes. You need to pass in both General and Specialist papers to qualify for AFSB interview. |
