Admission In NIT Through JEE Advanced
I want to take admission in one of the National Institutes of Technology for Engineering . Do I need to appear in the JEE Advanced for admission in Engineering course ?

The admission to the undergraduate Engineering programmes at the IITs and ISMU, Dhanbad, NITs, IIITs, DTU, CFTIs will be based on a two tier test, which consist of JEE Main ,JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main for NITs The first exam is JEE Main directed by CBSE. The JEE Main exam conducted on both online and offline modes on different dates The merit list for admission to NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi prepared by giving 40% weightage to class XII and 60% to the performance in JEE Main Examination. JEE Advanced for IITs The second exam is JEE Advanced. The top 1,50,000 rankers of JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced Test. Selection Procedure of Top 1,50,000 Students for JEE Advanced.
