Verification Of Mumbai University Degree

I am interested to take admission in Mumbai University. There is verification procedure of degree and certificate to apply for the admission. Please tell me about the procedure and what are the documents and degrees required in the Mumbai University verification procedure?

The University of Mumbai become the first university in the country to introduce an online database system to maintain an academic record of its students under the National Academic Depository (NAD.

Working procedure

On the declaration of the result, the data will be uploaded on NAD by authorized officers in the pre-determined database format.

The data will be digitally signed and the mark sheet will be generated, verified and published online.

Candidates can then download and print their mark sheet from the the university’s website.

The document will bear an encrypted digital signature of the controller of examination.

As per IT Act, digitally signed documents and soft copies are valid for all official purposes

Students can also use the NAD database to print duplicate certificates as well as attested copies of their

• Employers

Each printed copy of the document will have a unique 2D barcode.

Fee details of verification

Fees Charge (per copy)

i)Document issued within last 3 years Rs500/-
ii) Doc issued prior to 3yrs but upto 5yrs Rs700/-
iii) Doc issued prior to 8yrs but upto 15yrs Rs850/-
iv) Document issued prior to 15yrs Rs1000/-
v) Additional copies Rs200/- per copy


Period required for verification is 2 months
