UPSC conducts a Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for Section Officers. Syllabus: It consist two paper for exam: Paper 1: General Awareness 75Marks Arithmetical Ability 50Marks English 75Marks Paper II Commerce 200 Marks Services given below: List of Services: Section Officers’ Grade of Central Secretariat Service. Section Officers’ Grade (Integrated Grade II & III) of General Cadre of Indian Foreign Service, Branch 'B'. Section Officers' Grade of Railway Board Secretariat Service Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ merged of Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service. Grade-I of the Stenographers’ Cadre of Indian Foreign Service, Branch ‘B’. Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ merged of Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers’ Service. Grade 'B' of the Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers' Service. Section Officers’ Grade of the Intelligence Bureau. Section Officers’ Grade of Armed Forces Head Quarters Civil Service. |

Hello buddy as you want here we provides you information related to UPSC section officer exam as follows - (A) Tentative Schedule (i) Notification of Examination July (ii) Conduct of Examination December Eligibility: Only certain categories of departmental candidates who are employed as Assistants or Stenographers’ Grade ‘C’/Grade II of these Services or as Cypher Assistants Grade II of Cypher Sub-cadre of the Indian Foreign Service Branch‘B’ are eligible to apply for this examination. Syllabus Part A Candidates have to appear in the following conventional (Essay Type) papers 1. Noting and drafting, precis writing. 2. (i) Procedure and Practice in Government of India Secretariat and Attached offices. (For Categories I, II and IX) (ii) Procedure and Practice in Government of India Secretariat and Attached offices.
