The vision of NBRC or National Brain Research Centre is that it would not only grow into a world-class institute for brain research but also create a vibrant, active neuroscience community by catalyzing the overall growth of the discipline in India. Eligibility for the Ph. D Course A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy should meet the following criteria (one of points 2,3,4), from a university recognized by the University Grant Commission. Candidate securing 55% throughout the academic career starting at 10th grade will be considered. Master's degree in any branch of Science such as Biology / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Application / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or equivalent Master's degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or equivalent Candidate appearing for the final year of qualifying examination are eligible to apply Examination Pattern is as follows: It consists of total allocated marks of 100 in each subject distributed as mentioned below: Internal Exam 30 marks Assignment 10 marks Final Exam 60 marks Final Examinations are held in the month of December (1st Semester) and May (2nd Semester).
