National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC) is a voluntary health certifying board which was created in 1960 to evaluate the professional competence of respiratory therapists. As you asking here I am telling NBRC's Continuing Competency Program (CPP) has been designed to enhance and/or contribute to the continuing competence of credentialed respiratory therapists and pulmonary function technologists and demonstrate concern for patient safety. One who participating in the Continuing Competency Program are need to provide evidence they are continuing to meet current standards of practice and have successfully renewed their national credentials issued by the NBRC.
