I want to know the validity of University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test UGC NET exam so can you please tell me?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian universities and colleges. The validity of the offer of the JRF award is two years and will not be extendable. The validity of the award letter shall be six months from the date mentioned in the award letter. No extension beyond six months will be considered. UGC-NET Exam Eligibility Masters Degree OR equivalent examination from a recognised Universities/Institutions in Arts, Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc with minimum of 55% marks There is a relaxation of 5% marks for The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates in Masters Degree examination for being eligible in taking this test. Candidates appearing at the final year Masters degree can also apply. The Ph.D degree holders shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in UGC-NET exam. Age Limit- For Junior Research Fellowship: The candidate should not be more than 28 years. Relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority. Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing LL.M. Degree.
