I have done MBA and now planning to do M.Phil program so Is it worth doing an MPhil after MBA?

The MPhil is a research degree in its own right and one which will give you a similar skill set to a PhD. MBA is a professional course and I don't really understand why you have chosen to study an MPhil after your MBA. MPhil is usually done as a track course for studying a PhD, or to get a lectureship at Universities and colleges. Studying for an MPhil will let you apply for Lecturer positions, and even for that you will have to be NET qualified. If you want to get into an academic career, you can apply for teaching positions with your MBA yet. However, if you are interested in research, MPhil is definitely an ideal route as the course allows you to do a piece of research work in a area of your research interest. M.Phil has all the major areas of specialisation The MPhil is a research degree which includes a strong coursework component. For some disciplines, notably in the humanities, the MPhil is regarded as the most advanced Masters degree. |
