Ph.D. Course after M. Phil

I have completed M. Phil and now want to take admission in JNU for Ph.D. Course so please tell me that do I need to qualify in NET Exam? Give eligibility criteria for admission?

You do not need to qualify in NET Exam for admission in Ph.D. Course after M. Phil in JNU. JNU provide direct admission to M. Phil candidates in Ph.D.

Eligibility Criteria:

School of International Studies:
Obtained M. Phil degree of a recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

OR

They should have obtained Master’s Degree with FGPA of 6.00 in the 10 point scale and At least 2 years research experience in reputed institutions with research publication(s) comparable to M. Phil standard.

Centre for International Trade & Development:
M. Phil. in Economics/International Trade and Development with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

Human Rights Studies program:
Obtained M. Phil or equivalent degree of a recognized University/Research Institution in the field of human rights or allied areas with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

Energy Studies program:
Obtained M. Phil or equivalent degree of a recognized University/Research Institution in the field of energy studies or allied areas with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

OR
At least 2 years research experience in reputed institutions with research publication(s) comparable to M. Phil standard in the field of Energy Studies

School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies:
Obtained M. Phil degree of a recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point Scale

Centre for Media Studies:
Candidates must have obtained a two year M.Phil degree in the Social Sciences/ Media Studies from recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

School of Arts & Aesthetics:
Obtained M.Phil degree of a recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scales

School of Biotechnology:
Obtained M.Phil and/or M. Tech. degree or equivalent of a recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

Centre for Sanskrit Studies:
Obtained M.Phil degree in Sanskrit/Pali/Allied subject of a recognized University/Research Institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.00 in 10 point scale

Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed NET/SET examination or completed M.Phil. degree eligible for Ph.D. Course in Mathematics.

Candidates who not have passed NET/SET examination or completed M.Phil. degree required to take the Ph.D. Entrance Test (Mathematics) (PET) conducted twice a year by the Controller of Examinations .
