The Integrated M. Phil – Ph. D. Programme is a five Year full time Programme Integrated M. Phil-PhD in Social Sciences : Research Areas: Access to justice of marginalized and vulnerable groups Human Rights Social Legislation and implementation in India Laws & Rights of Women, Children, Disabled, Elderly, HIV/AIDS affected , unorganized labour , under trials prisoners, dalits mentally challenged and other Vulnerable groups Legislative Reform in Support of Vulnerable groups(including constitutional reform ) Rights of women at workplace Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of women and Children Legal strategies for empowerment Alternate dispute Resolution Methods Victim and Witness protection Law , Social Work and Social Justice Law, Rights and Development Access to Justice and Legal Institutions Legal and Justice Education Clinical Legal Education International Law Human Rights Education Refugee Studies Forced migration and displacement laws Laws pertaining to Disaster management and Climate change Prisons, Prisoners Rights. Human Rights movement. Political theory and Indian politics Indian constitution. Human Rights & Constitutional Governance. Development & Crime Criminal justice Reforms Torture prevention Victimology Eligibility : Applicants will be shortlisted for the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) on basis of them meeting the following considerations with regard to educational qualifications, work experience and research proposal Educational Qualifications: The Minimum Academic Qualification for Admission to the integrated M.Phil. & Direct Ph.D programmes is a Second Class Master’s or equivalent degree in the relevant subject awarded by a recognised university in India or abroad, with at least an average of 55 per cent of aggregate marks, OR a Grade Point Average of 3.5 under the seven-point scale of the University Grants Commission (UGC). In the case of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, the minimum eligibility is an average of 50 per cent of aggregate marks, or a grade point average of 3.05. Work Experience: A minimum of five years of post graduation work experience is required for Direct PhD programmes. In case of the Integrated M.Phil-PhD Programme, there is no requirement of work experience. Candidates with one to two years of work experience, will be preferred.
