Admission Rules for M.Phil

Admission to M. Phil. courses in various subjects shall be made on the basis of the Merit in Entrance test conducted by the University.

For all M. Phil. courses the general category candidates must have secured 55% marks at post-graduate level in the respective subject.

A relaxation of 5% in aggregate in the eligibility criterion shall be given / provided to SC / ST / OBC candidates having domicile of Madhya Pradesh only.

Students waiting for their result of qualifying examination may also appear in this test but they will have to submit the document related to their result at the time of counselling.

There shall be two papers in the written test; first paper shall be qualifying (30%) whereas the merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in second paper.

The passing marks in second paper are 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC Candidates).

Counselling for admission will be held in respective school of studies. One whose result is not yet declared can also apply for admission. One will be given provisional admission. One will have to submit a declaration that if fail to pass the qualifying exam, the fees deposited will be forfeited by the University, and the given admission will stand cancelled.

The seats for teachers working in college affiliated to this University will remain reserve as per the ordinance of M.Phil.
