IIT JEE OBC Reservation

Hello sir I am here as I want to know how much reservation is given to OBC candidates in IIT JEE Advance so will you please tell me about this to me??

Hey!!! Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled for reservation in IIT JEE Advance.

Such candidates are treated as belonging to the general (GEN) i.e., unreserved category, and they will be eligible only for the OPEN seats – the seats for which everyone is eligible .

Other Candidates of OBC are given 27% of seats in every course. The backward class should be in the current updated central list of OBCs

Other Reservation Class Reservation:

Scheduled Caste (SC)
15% of seats in every course.


Scheduled Tribe (ST)
7.5% of seats in every course.


Persons with Disability (PwD)
3% of seats in each of OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category seats.
Benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability i.e., locomotor, visualor dyslexic.
Leprosy-cured candidates who are otherwise fit to pursue the courses are also included in this sub-category.

-Online registrations start – 29th April 2016 (10 AM to 5 PM)

-Online registrations end – 4th May 2016 (10 AM to 5 PM)

-Online Admit Card available – 11th May to 22nd May 2016 (till 9 AM)

-JEE Advanced 2016 Exam Date (for Paper 1 & 2) – 22nd May 2016

-Online display of ORS and scanned responses – 01-06-2016 to 04-06-2016

-Online display of answer keys – 05-06-2016

-Feedback and comments on answer keys from the candidates – 05-06-2016 to 07-06-2016

-Online declaration of results – 12-06-2016

-Online registration for Architecture Aptitude Test – 12-06-2016 to 13-06-2016

-Architecture Aptitude Test – 15-06-2016

-Declaration of results of AAT – 19-06-2016

-Seat Allotment & Choice Filling – 24-06-2016 onwards
