Can you provide me details of admission procedure for the Bachelor of Interior Design course/program offered by CEPT University as I want to apply for the course?

One must have passed HSC Exam from Gujarat state board or any other State board with Science stream or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/ISB/IB with physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects and chemistry/biotechnology/biology/computer as optional subject (all at higher/advance level), securing a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects (45% for SC/ST/ SEBC candidates) for admission in Bachelor of Interior Design course offered by CEPT University.

Admission Procedure

Evaluation process:


This will be done in three stages as mentioned here:

Stage 1 - Scrutiny for Eligibility
All applications received will be examined based on information provided in the application forms.
This scrutiny is to check whether the applicant meets the eligibility criteria.
Only one who meet the eligibility criteria and pass scrutiny will be considered for

Stage 2 - Aptitude Test
The Aptitude Test is conducted on CEPT University campus and all the students who have received the admit cards need to appear for the test.
The test will be conducted in two sessions.
Both sessions as mentioned below require mandatory attendance for a candidate to be eligible for admissions.

Session 1 of Aptitude Test:
This session will cover Imagination, Lateral Thinking, Exposure to Basic Design and Interiors, Sensitivity to Color, Context Analysis, Perception, Visual Order, Association, Interpretation, Application, and Interior Space Attributes.

Session 2 of Aptitude Test:
This session will cover Organizational Principles, Visualizing 3D Objects, Observational Skills, Scale & Proportions, Logic and Ordering Principles, Representation, Understanding of Order, Understanding of Basics of Design, Common sense, Problem solving.


Stage 3 Preparation of merit list:
Merit list is prepared based on aggregate score of HSC and performance in the aptitude tests conducted by CEPT University.
The final merit order is generated on the following weightage criteria:

Aptitude Test for BID 70%
HSC Aggregate 30%
Total 100%
