The general knowledge syllabus for CDS exam cannot be defined as it can be considered vast and there are lot of things that can be included in this particular section.

Applicants must inculcate a habit of reading newspapers, magazines etc.

This section included in the syllabus.
Indian Economy
Monuments of India
Current happening in the field of business, politics, sports, entertainment etc.
Books and Authors name etc

Basically, it all depends on the candidates knowledge about various things and that will be possible only when candidate is regular with reading newspapers and knowledge.
