The Bachelor of Education Programme of Indira Gandhi National Open University aims at developing the competencies and understanding required by practising teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.

Duration-- The minimum duration of the programme is two years.

The maximum duration allowed for completion of the programme will be four years.

The Bachelor of Education course of the IGNOU is a 56 Credit Course divided into the following four groups:

Number of Seats: 100

Group A- Core Courses

Group B- Content –based Methodology Courses

Group C- Special Courses

Group D- Practical Courses

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have obtained a Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognized university,

AND

Students must have Two years full-time regular teaching experience on permanent / temporary basis as Primary/Graduate/Post-Graduate Teachers in Primary, Secondary/Higher/Senior secondary school

Fee Structure

Candidates have to pay a lump sump payment of entire course Rs.20,000

Admission on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India.
