Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Indian Forest Service ( IFS) Examination eligibility details are given below: Eligibility Criteria: 1. Nationality: The candidate must be either: (a) A citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August, 2014, Relaxation in Age .The Age relaxable for SC, ST’S candidates – 5 years (b). Age relax able for OBC candidates – 3 years (c). Age relax able for 3 years in case of defence services personnel disabled 5 years Age relax able for Ex-service men Qualifications: The Candidates are required to have degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute or university. Physical Standards: The candidate must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination. Exam pattern: IFS Exam consists of two stages: I. Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) II. Indian Forest Service Main Examination (Written and Interview). I. Preliminary Examination: The Examination is comprise of two compulsor Syllabus: General English and General Knowledge: The standard level of papers in General English and General Knowledge are designed for a Science or Engineering graduate of an Indian University. The English paper would consist of an essay and passages to write summary. Other questions are designed to test general understanding of English and everyday use of words. Optional Subjects: The standard level and syllabus for optional subject papers is based on the Bachelors Degree (with Honours). There will be no practical examination in any of the subjects. List of Optional Subjects is as under- Agriculture Agricultural Engineering Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Forestry Geology Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Physics Statistics Zoology Books for IFS Exam |

I have done graduation degree and now want to apply for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination so please give me the details about the age limit required for it?

Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination every year Age limit: Candidates should be between 21 to 30 years Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs 35 for SCs/STs Educational qualification: Candidate must have Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology Important Dates: Date of Notification:- 16.05.2015 Last date for receipt of applications:- 12.06.2015 Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY. Date of commencement of Examination:- 21.11.2015 Duration of the Exam:- 10 DAYS. Preliminary Exam Pattern: The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each Both the question papers will be of the objective type Main Exam pattern: The written examination consisting of the following papers:- Paper I General English 300 Marks Paper II General Knowledge 300 Marks Paper III Any two subjects 200 marks to be selected for Paper IV from the list of each the optional paper Paper V subjects set out Paper VI Each subject will have two papers.
