MBA Rural Development

The mission of the MBA Rural Development programme is to make human resource manager who by their professional expertise will be able to bring about all round rural development through people’s participation. The Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute is devoted towards the pass of sustainable growth.

It is imagined that the growth managers coming out of this programme will be able to empower rural people and enhance their capabilities, particularly the marginalized sections of the rural society, i.e. women and the socially and economically disadvantaged and thus assist create vibrant autonomous rural communities.

Eligibility for Admission
The minimum qualification for admission to this MBA programs is a bachelor degree from an accredited institution (Degree Course of at least 3 years time period with separate yearly / semester exam system) from any stream. Scholars appearing in the final year exam of the undergraduate class shall also be allowed to employ, discipline to the condition that they furnish their final graduation pass result not later than the date specified in the information brochure of the admission test.

Admission shall be made without any distinction of caste, creed, color, gender, age, and so on. There shall be no provision for outright admission to anyone and reservation shall be as per rules applicable to the University.

For international Students
Admission of international citizen shall be made strictly as per recommendations of the international scholar advisor of the University as supernumerary seats. International scholars recommended from time to time through the Indian Govt. of shall be admitted without Admission Test.

Admission Procedure
The admission to the MBA and MBARD courses shall be supported on Admission Test comprising Written and Oral Tests. The Written Test shall be common for the MBA and MBARD courses. Supported on performance in the Written exam and the choices exercised for respective courses (MBA/MBARD) by the candidates in their application forms, there shall be two streams of short listed examinees for MBA and MBARD courses. Such short listed examinees shall be necessitated to appear in Oral Test directed separately for MBA and MBARD courses. The number of shortlisted examinees for the Oral Tests shall be judged by the Admission Committee. Whole tests shall be directed only in English medium.
