National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has mission to provide the treatment of the mental illness through basic clinical research.It was founded in 1949.

After that your application go to Scientific Review Administrator (SRA).
Then your review is redirected to program officer

Research Priorities: Your research should have following priorities.

Discover the brain and behavioral sciences to fuel research on the causes of mental disorders
Focus on mental illness trajectories to determine when, where and how to intervene
Invent new and better interventions that incorporate the diverse needs and circumstances of people with mental illnesses
