Re: Will NEET Replace AIIMS

AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) is the highest regarded college for medical & dental studies, all over India. It was formed under a Parliamentary Act of 1956 which entitles it as an autonomous institute, by virtue of which it awards its own degrees & doctorates.

When NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) UG was being proposed as the unison of all the medical entrance exams, AIIMS had refused to be a part of it. In 2016, an AIIMS official had stated that an association of AIIMS-MBBS with NEET-UG will only bring down the level of the AIIMS entrance examination.

AIIMS (All India Institutes of Medical Sciences) is a group of 7 institutions boasting the name of AIIMS in India. These 7 institutions are the premier medical institutions providing the medical (MBBS/MD/MS/Nursing/Paramedical/Health Science) education.

AIIMS medical (MBBS) entrance exam is a national level entrance test conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. It is organized for providing admission to MBBS programme offered by seven AIIMS institutions of India.
