No you are not eligible for the exam of NDA

Here for your reference I am giving you the eligibility criteria of NDA exam:

Nationality:
A candidate must be either be a
(i) a citizen of India , or
(ii). a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii). a subject of Nepal, or
(iv). a Tibetan refugee who came ovbet ot India before the 01 January , 1962 with the intention of spermanently settling in India, or
(v). a Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakisthan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countires of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawim Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.

Age:
Candidates must be in between the age of 16.5 to 19 years

Sex:
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Educational Qualifications:
(i)For Army wing of National Defence Academy:
Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:
Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

My son is in class 11th and 16 years old. Will you please tell me that is he eligible to write the NDA exam with age of 16 years and studying in 11th?

As per as my knowledge, He is not eligible to apply for the national defense services (NDA) exam as he is studying in class 11th. After passing the class 12th He will be eligible to take the NDA exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants need to pass class 12th exam with Mathematics & Physics from the recognized board.

Age Criteria:

Age of the candidate should be between 16 years to 19 years.

Marital: Unmarried

Medical Standard:


Leg length 99.00cm 120.00cm
Thigh length Max 64.00cm
Sitting height 81.50cm 96.00cm

Selection procedure: Selection of the candidate depends on following

Written test
SSB Interview
Medical test

Exam pattern: There are two papers:

First paper:
Mathematics
Total marks: 300 marks

Second paper: General Ability (GA)
Total marks: 600 marks.

Duration: 02 hours and 30 minutes.
There is negative marking for each wrong answer.

How to apply:
For NDA, applicant needs to apply online, the online application form available at the official website of NDA.

Applicant need to fill the application form in two phases.
