Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) 2020 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission for full time/part time courses of MBA/ MCA/ ME/ M. Tech/ M. Arch and for second year lateral entry to MCA course in various institutions and affiliated universities located in the state of Karnataka Karnataka PGCET 2020 Exam Date Online Registration Starts 3rd week of May 2020 Online Registration Close 1st week of June 2020 Hall Ticket 4th week of June 2020 Exam Date 1st week of July 2020 Releasing of Answer key 2nd week of July 2020 Declaration of Result 3rd week of August 2020 Counselling Start 1st week of September 2020 Eligibility General Eligibility One should have passed qualifying exam from the state of Karnataka One who haven’t passed the qualifying exam from the state of Karnataka but studied for at least 7 years in the state of Karnataka can also apply. Wards of ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence forces declared home town in Karnataka can also apply. MCA Full-time & Lateral Entry to 2nd year MCA Full-time: one must have Bachelor Degree with Math/ Stats/ Comp. Sci./ Comp. App./ Comp. Prog./ Business Math/ Business Stats (any one subject) (+) 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates). Lateral Entry: one must have Bachelor Degree in BCA/ B.Sc(I.T./ Comp. Sci) (+) Math in 10+2/ Graduate level (+) 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates) Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern 2020 Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and paper) Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes Sections: 2 – Part A and Part B Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Total Number of Questions: 75 Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology Medium of exam: English Language Marking scheme: +1 and +2 Total Marks: 100 No negative marking.
