As you want to get the details of what will be the process to join CBI or CID after completing engineering in IT so here it is for you:

I want to tell you that firstly you have to give the exam of Indian Police Service

Here for your reference I am, giving you the eligibility criteria of Indian Police Service and other details:

Nationality:
A candidate must be either :—
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed 30 years

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed graduation from any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Number of Attempts:
General: 4
OBC: 7
SC and ST: No Limit

Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks.
The Question Papers (Test Booklets) are set in English & Hindi

General Studies Paper - I 200 Marks
General Studies Paper - II 200 Marks

Scheme - CS (Main)

Paper-I
One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 18 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper) 300 Marks
Paper-II English (Qualifying Paper) 300 Marks
Paper-III Essay 200 Marks
Papers IV & V General Studies (300 Marks for each paper) 600 Marks
Papers VI, VII, VIII & IX
Any two subjects (each having 2 papers) to be selected from the prescribed optional subjects (300 marks for each paper) 1200 Marks
Total Marks for Written Examination 2000 Marks
Interview Test 300 Marks
Grand Total 2300 Marks

I have completed B.Tech in IT and now interested in joining CBI or CID so please give me the process how can I join this?

CBI stands for Central Bureau Of Investigation
CID stands for Central Investigation Department

To apply to CBI or CID you have to give the SSC combined Graduate level exams.

This exam is held once in a year

Eligibility to apply for this exam is:
Candidate must be citizen of India

Candidate must have passed Graduation in any stream from recognized University

Age Limit-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 27 years

AGE Relaxations- 3 years for OBC candidates, 7 years for SC/ST candidates

Selection procedure:-
Tier-I examination,
Tier-II examination,
Personal interview

General Test
General Intelligence & Reasoning
General Awareness
Numerical Ability

Part II :
English Language
Language Comprehension
Communication / Writing
Ability Test
