what to study in university to become a police officer

hey , I want to become a officer in Indian Police Service (IPS) . Will you please tell what the subjects I have to study to become an officer in IPS . Also tell what other requirements for become IPS officer?

To become IPS officer candidate have to appear in the IPS examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) .

Eligibility conditions:

Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification.

Candidate who in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination of UPSC .

Age : 21 to 30 year

Candidates will need to have qualities as :

Effective communication skills

a sense of personal responsibility,
integrity and resilience;

problemsolving skills;

a confident and calm manner;

good literacy skills.

Team working skills .

Ability to work independentl

Professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness;

ability to act with resolve, tolerance and restraint
