What is Situation Test in NIFT

Can you tell me what Situation Test in NIFT or National Institute of Fashion Technology? Also provide me some questions from previous year question papers of Situation Test in NIFT?

Students who have applied for Bachelor of Design Programme are called for Situation Test after clearing their written test. Situation Test has 20% weightage, and is an important deciding factor, in admission.

In situation test student is required to create a three dimensional model with various materials provided; based on a specific topic or theme mentioned. The students are provided with materials like, candles, ice cream sticks, mount board, color papers etc.They are given three hours to make a three dimensional model of an object described in the design Brief, Candidates are assessed for Quality of Material Manipulation, Innovative Ideas, Aesthetic Appeal, Neatness, Conceptualization Skills and Working Methodology

NIFT SITUATION TEST-2006

1.Design a potter’s wheel with the objects of his concern beside it.
2.Design a vanity case for a female with the provisions to keep lipsticks, nail paint, safety pins, and a perfume bottle.

MATERIALS
3 Ivory sheets weighing 210 gms, quarter imperial size.
3 cardboards A4 size.
4 Pastel paper sheet A4 size-red, blue, green, yellow.
One-one sheet of golden & silver paper A4 size.
2 meter of copper wire, which is used in wiring.
One small tape role.
One meter of cotton rope.
A strip of al-pins.
Four blocks of plasticin clay.
