Western Carolina University (WCU) is a coeducational public university located in Cullowhee, North Carolina, United States. The university is a constituent campus of the University of North Carolina system. It was established in 1889. Musical Theatre Program All the world is a stage” and at WCU they’ll prepare you—the singer, dancer, and actor—to step onto the professional stage of musical theatre. Admission to the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Requirements- Sophomore standing and the completion of no more than 90 hours; Minimum overall GPA of 2.5; Completion of CMTA 131, ENGL 102, a liberal studies course in oral communication, history, and art or music with a grade of “C” or better, and completion of a liberal studies science course and the core mathematics course; and Resume documenting involvement and/or training in theatre. Applicants must complete a letter of application and present an audition piece or design/tech portfolio.
