Western Carolina University (WCU) is a coeducational public university located in Cullowhee, North Carolina, United States. The university is a constituent campus of the University of North Carolina system.

Western Carolina University MFA program is a structured 3-year, 60-credit sequence of courses in studio art and research. Students who are admitted are provided with ample studio space and given the freedom of choice to work in a specific discipline or across any of their five program areas: Ceramics, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking + Book-Arts, and Sculpture.
