I will get the information about the Department of Zoology of West Bengal State University so that you can have idea about it.

The Department of Zoology of West Bengal State University was setup in 2009, with publication of the Origin of Species The department follows a two dimensional approach in research and teaching, namely - molecular approach and organismal approach.

The department working on molecular levels, emerging concepts and empirical evidences in the realms of Cellular Biology, Immunology, Oncology etc are pursued as thrust areas. Behavioural Ecology, Sociobiology and Conservation Biology are the thrust areas at the level of Organismal Biology


Courses offer by the department
Masters, M.Phil, Ph.D (with specialization)
Elective papers in MSc:
1) Advanced Immunology & Experimental Therapeutics; and Advanced Oncology & Toxicology
2) Behavioural Ecology and Endocrinology and Conservation Biology and Wild Life.
