Is VIT Better Than NIT Surathkal

I have got counseling letter from VIT and NIT now I am a little bit confused about credibility of both the college. Please give me some comparison these two colleges that which is better so that I can take a good decision to choose between these two institutes.

I completed 12th with PCM and want to do engineering degree searching for good institutes came to know about VIT and NIT Surathkal. Will you tell Is VIT Better Than NIT Surathkal provide difference between both this institutes in terms of ranking so that I plan to join any one?
