The National Institute of Technology Karnataka NITK offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course of duration 3 years.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master's Degree in computer science awarded in India.

The course was designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology.

The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas.

Duration 3 years

MCA Eligibility Criteria-

Applicants should hold B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum 3 years full-time OR B.E / B.Tech or equivalent from a recognized University.

Students who have completed B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/ BIT of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible to apply.

The applicants those appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Indian National applicants must secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC, ST).

Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in the exam.

Admission criteria-

The admission will be on the basis of performance in the prescribed entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Test).
