Students in VLSI Design Tools and Technologies of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi are selected on the basis of GATE score and internal selection procedures of IIT Delhi. Then short-listed candidates are interviewed by the sponsoring industries. Final assignment of students to industries is based on the one's prioritization of the industries and the one's performance in the interviews. Employees of the sponsoring organization are admitted subject to the performance in the selection interview. One is not paid assistantship by IIT Delhi. Courses at VDTT All courses in Program Core are compulsory courses. There is no choice of choosing Open Electives and hence credits assigned to OE are zero. There are 3 streams: ASIC and SoC Design This stream includes courses focusing on synthesis, design and modeling of systems, subsystems and circuits. Micro and Nano Devices Courses under this stream focus on micro and Nano semiconductor devices and materials. Embedded Intelligent Systems This stream focuses on computing for embedded intelligent systems, self adaptive systems and neural networks.
