Re: Use Of Random Number In TNEA
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) Random number is the unique number, which is provided by the university to every candidate to sort the name of cut-off holders in the procedure of ranking. With the help of the random number, the admission authority - Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) - can determine the merit list position of candidates when there has been the tie. In the counselling session, the random number has been used to select the candidates. On the basis of random, the candidates will get the random number to allocate the seats for counselling and those will get the high random number, they have been assigned in the merit list. TNEA 2020 Tie-Breaking Criteria Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will get a higher rank. Next, the Physics marks are checked and rank is allocated accordingly. If the tie still prevails then on the basis of marks in the fourth optional subject, the rank is granted. Before the last re-sort, the date of birth is also considered and the elder candidate gets a better rank. Lastly, the TNEA Random Number is used to assign merit, if all the above methods fail. Steps to check TNEA random numbers Step 1: Visit the official website Step 2: Click on the “TNEA Random Number” link Step 3: Enter the application number and submit Step 4: TNEA random number has been displayed on the screen TNEA Counselling The TNEA Counselling has been held through offline mode from the 1st week of July. The qualified candidates are shortlisted in the rank list and called out for the counselling session. The counselling is conducted through offline mode. One should be present at the advice necessarily. If one not able to come to the counselling centre, then one can authorize by one’s parents to go on one behalf. The seat allotment is done based on merit list and communal reservation. One has to select the preferred colleges and courses during counselling and seats allotment based on the preference of candidates. The selected candidates have to pay the counselling fees, and document verification of the applicant has been done after the seat allotment. One has to submit all of the required documents, and those have been the failure, that one is disqualified. After successful allotment, the paid counselling fees are adjusted in the tuition fees. When one has been failed to attend the counselling on the given time and date, has been allowed to participate in the session in another slot provided that and one has been allotted only in the available seats. If the rank of the applicants changes due to the re-evaluation of marks, then one can attend the counselling as per new ranking. |
